Daily life begins with a simple desire to love, laugh and live in relationship with others. Though that might seem common and ordinary to some, it can be a daily struggle for adults with developmental disabilities. As our doors open each day, our Friends experience a genuine sense of community in an environment that unlocks those ordinary miracles of life. They thrive as they encounter adults who come along side them to befriend, mentor, develop and equip them to live out their simple desires. Our Friends experience community, perhaps for the first time in their lives, and are immersed in love, laughter and relationships. Life at its fullest…in community with those around them.

Opportunities for Work and Service
We value service. Jesus is our example of compassion towards others. We provide opportunities for our Friends to show love and serve others. We have found that our Friends have grown in their view of themselves because they have had the opportunity to serve through volunteer work with local ministries and non-profits that are meeting needs in the lives of others. They see that they can make a difference.
Our Friends desire to be productive and make a contribution in way that is meaningful. Friends Life works to foster partnerships with local organizations and businesses to assist in training and equipping these young adults with the skills, both technical and social, needed to obtain paid or volunteer work opportunities. We invest into them in such a way that they are better equipped to seek out and secure these opportunities. Our Friends have a strong desire to find jobs and go to work each day and serve their community just like their friends, family and neighbors.
