Studio Zoom

A collaboration of writing, acting,
filming, and sharing.

Studio Zoom: A Masterclass

Saturday, February 5th – Saturday, May 7th

A Creative Film Project

Studio Zoom is a hybrid masterclass and creative collaboration where individuals with disabilities write their own scripts over virtual meetings and convene in-person for a fun, working weekend to film their production. The final film is screened and shared with their communities. Through this process, participants grow in confidence and learn valuable self-advocacy skills.

Classes begin Saturday, February 5th and run through Saturday, May 7th. Public film screening date TBD.

Individual and Community Benefits

The focus of Studio Zoom is to give individuals with disabilities a spotlight and opportunity to share their stores. Participants will gain deeper friendships and connect with their creative inner processes in addition to gaining valuable skills.

Class Highlights:

  • Increased self-advocacy skills
  • Improved confidence
  • Forty-eight hours of creative expression and time with colleagues
  • Experience writing, scripting, acting in, and professionally producing a short film to show proudly at a public event
  • Greater community relationships through collaboration with area organizations and other creative professionals

Curious what a finished Studio Zoom film looks like?
