A Typical Day
Day Program is the heart of our organization. It runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It includes robust courses on site, as well as intentional, fun activities around the city. The Friends receive person-centered care. That means Friends Life’s programming serves the people who are here. And as the Friends grow, the community grows.
Day Program is a community-oriented service, and best for those who desire a structured group setting as they work toward their goals.
Advocacy Through the Arts
Advocacy Through the Arts uses visual and performing arts to build three main skill areas: self-advocacy, self-expression, and confidence.
Service Learning & Employment
Through Service Learning, Friends volunteer throughout the Nashville community, building valuable employment skills and sharing their talents and time with local nonprofits.
Individuals gain the confidence to become more independent at home, at work, and in the community through the Life Skills program at Friends Life Community.
