Friends Life Community’s Life Coaching program provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (“IDDs”) the opportunity to grow personally and develop skills through individualized and innovative services.
Our highly qualified staff delivers in-home and community-based services, focusing on the development of functional life skills so the client (“Friend”) can increase their independence, preparing for independent living and working to achieve personal goals.
Life Coaching assists the Friend as she or he develops skills in a variety of areas, such as:
Self-management and self-care
Grooming and hygiene
Health and safety
Wellness and nutrition
Housekeeping and chores
Problem solving and decision making
Living with others
Who Should Apply
Our Life Coaching program is for adults (18+) with IDDs who desire to make progress in the areas of personal development and life skills. Regardless of diagnosis, Friends Life Community believes that all adults with IDDs deserve opportunities to build relationships, gain independence, and become fully included in the broader community.
