J. Robert Lindsey
Operations and Education Manager
In his role as the Operations & Education Manager, J. Robert oversees all staff training and class curriculums. He also leads the team of Client Success Coordinators and provides support to ensure the Friends are meeting their goals through lesson plan coaching and instructional support.
J. Robert is a Kentucky native who has chosen Nashville as home. Prior to joining the FLC team, J. Robert taught for both public and charter schools in the greater Nashville area. In addition to being a classroom teacher, he served as a grade team leader, department head, curriculum writer, and administrator.
As a theatre educator, J. Robert has created theatre curriculum for fifth through eighth grades, founded the performing arts program at Valor Collegiate Academy (the Wildcat Players), and served as a teaching artist for the Theater Bug, a Nashville-based children’s theatre company.
A professional performer himself, J. Robert has worked with several regional theatre companies, including: Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre, Roxy Regional Theatre, Street Theatre Company, Gaslight Dinner Theatre, and The Bell Witch Fall Festival. In addition, he performed for Disney Cruise Line, getting the chance to travel throughout the Caribbean, South America, and Alaska.
J. Robert enjoys running, yoga, and being dog dad to Payton.
