Day Porter
Monday – Friday, 2:00 – 5:00, $20/hour

Your Purpose: Day Porter
As the Day Porter, you will be an integral part of the team. Your job allows program staff to focus on their core responsibilities while ensuring a clean and safe environment in our building and grounds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Follow all safe cleaning guidelines
· Ensure all bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected each day
· Restock bathroom supplies
· Remove and place trash in the appropriate bin, trash, recycling, compost
· Sweep and mop floors, daily
· Empty and/or load dishwasher daily
· Ensure grounds are free from trash/litter, daily
· Disinfect high touch surfaces, daily
· Clean windows, weekly
· Dust high-traffic areas, weekly
· Ensure cafe and picnic tables are clean
· Responsible for the organization of the storage shed
· Communicate reorder needs to the business office (toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc.)
· Drive company vehicles to and from maintenance shop
· Other duties as assigned, such as cleaning company vehicles, moving/removing furniture or other large items that are no longer needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to read or distinguish cleaning product labels, task lists, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members regarding the needs of the building
- Belief in the organization’s mission and the willingness to share the FLC brand script with others.
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback.
- Demonstration of core values: belonging, self-advocacy, and innovation.
- Active demonstration of professionalism and good judgment throughout all work.
· Ability to be flexible and adapt to necessary changes to support daily activities as well as benefit the organization.
Working Conditions:
This position is part-time hourly. This position is located at the headquarters on Granny White Pike. You may be inside or outside. Constant walking, standing, bending, and lifting are required.
- Lifting and Carrying:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to move heavy equipment, trash bins, or furniture.
- Standing and Walking:
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Frequent walking between rooms and buildings.
- Bending and Stooping:
- Regular bending, kneeling, and stooping to clean low areas or pick up debris.
- Reaching and Climbing:
- Ability to reach overhead and below waist level.
- Climb ladders or step stools to clean high surfaces.
- Manual Dexterity:
- Use of hands and arms to operate cleaning tools and equipment such as mops, vacuum cleaners, and buffers.
- Pushing and Pulling:
- Push and pull carts, vacuum cleaners.
- Visual and Auditory Requirements:
- Sufficient vision to perform cleaning and inspection tasks.
- Ability to hear alarms or verbal instructions in noisy environments.
- Repetitive Motion:
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and wrists when scrubbing, wiping, or mopping.
- Working Conditions:
- Comfortable working in various environments, including indoor/outdoor areas, confined spaces, or at heights.
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust
