Daniel’s journey is one of finding a place of belonging. Daniel began attending Friends Life Community after his aunt discovered FLC and encouraged him to get involved. Daniel arrived with an impressive knowledge of heavy metal bands and quickly connected with other Friends who shared his love of music. He later joined a service-learning class at SweetAbility, where he excelled so much that the owner hired him for seasonal work during the holidays. Daniel went from feeling disconnected from the community to attending Friends Life Community twice a week, building meaningful friendships, and securing a part-time job. Most importantly, Daniel found connection and a place to belong.
