Thinking About the World

Destine’s drawings are rife with activity, like a Jackson Pollock painting in drawing form. She describes her color choices simply as “all the colors in the pencil box.” She loves to draw, always eager to get to work upon arrival.

Her drawings are also uniquely double-sided, wasting not one square inch of paper. There is power in her art, as if it has harnessed energy through her mark-making. Layered and vibrant, her creations are an expression of her equally layered and vibrant self.
