Night Sky

Lauren works in both colored pencil drawings and textiles, layering intricate markings, patterns, and a vivid array of colors. Her expressive pieces evoke the beauty of stained-glass cathedrals or naturally occurring geometric crystals in caves.

With a blend of careful thought and intuitive creation, she thoughtfully applies colorful shapes. Her titles are often imaginative and poetic. In her textile work, she draws inspiration from her drawings, selecting fabrics to form organic, lyrical shapes and stitch patterns. Lauren has recently showcased her art at Art Beat Gallery and Belmont University in Nashville.
