Red Craters

Jon’s artwork serves as a medium of communication, offering a glimpse into his playful and sometimes mischievous imagination. His paintings celebrate creativity, process, and chance, with watery paints that flow and merge, creating swirling colors.

Hints of black introduce an element of mystery. He revels in the messy aspect of art, immersing his hands in paint to enhance his expressive experience. Yet, despite this messiness, his paintings exude an elegant calm, reminiscent of raindrops on a window. In sculpture, Jon explores a playful contrast between minimalism and obsession, using beads, wire, and found objects to complement the vibrant whimsy of his paintings.

Together, his works invite contemplation of both the natural and supernatural, transporting viewers to an otherworldly realm. His style draws inspiration from Duchamp’s installations, assemblage art, and Art Povera. Recently, Jon has showcased his sculptures and paintings at Zeitgeist Gallery and Belmont University in Nashville.
