Thanks to your incredible support, this year’s Backyard BBQ & Bluegrass Bash was our biggest celebration yet, with more than 400 guests, a fashion show full of personality and surprises, and a night of music, laughter, and generosity we won’t soon forget.
Most importantly, together we raised over $440,000, surpassing our $400,000 goal! This generosity means FLC can help subsidize tuition for the year, so families can keep accessing life-changing programs at a cost that stays affordable.
With Edley's serving up a feast fit for a Nashville crowd, guests enjoyed every bite while tapping their toes to the return of fan favorites The Green Hillsbillies. The energy was contagious, with dancing, laughter, and heartfelt conversations filling the night air.
One of the evening’s highlights was our Friend Fashion Show. Our Friends took the runway with confidence and joy, showing off the spirit of FLC: empowerment, creativity, and authenticity.
The giving didn’t stop at the door. Auctioneer Matt Rogers knocked our socks off during the live auction, and our silent auction and Friend-created artwork gave everyone, in person and online, a way to take part. From unique experiences to local treasures to one-of-a-kind pieces by our talented artists, every bid and purchase helped raise essential funds.
A special thank you goes to our wonderful hostesses, Cindy and Ella Shafer, who once again opened their hearts and the FLC yard, welcoming more than 400 advocates for change and acceptance to celebrate, dance, and give generously. And thank you to Barry Booker and April Hackney for closing out the night in true Bash style.
