Jennifer Haston
Visual Arts Program Coordinator
As the Visual Arts Program Coordinator at Friends Life Community, Jennifer leads classes in Studio Art and Social Enterprise. She uses her curatorial skills to bring awareness of each Friend’s own unique story. She creates opportunities for Friends to craft original designs and practice job skills by using those designs to create FLC merchandise.
Jennifer is originally from Washington State where she received a BFA in Printmaking and a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts. Her studies in art brought her to Tennessee where she received her MFA in printmaking from the University of Tennessee. She has several years of experience in teaching at local colleges, and universities. Jennifer joined Friends Life Community originally as a volunteer and joined the staff in January 2019.
Being the Visual Arts Program Coordinator allows Jennifer to share her love of making. As a fiber artist her art quilts have been shown nationally. Her experience in all forms of art, but especially her background in printmaking, contributes to her work in the Social Enterprise program at FLC. Her passion for art and crafting are brightened with the opportunity to collaborate with all of the community at FLC.
