Advocacy Performance at Kindling Arts Festival

Dark Horse Theater 4610 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN

This moving Advocacy Through the Arts showcase is produced by Friends Life Community. Seven original works will be highlighted as artists with disabilities respond to the question: “How do you want the world to see you?” This uplifting performance features a mix of dance performances, original music, and artful films curated in collaboration by Nashville artists, written and directed by artists with disabilities. Ultimately, the creative autonomy of original work and public performance give power back to the artists to shape the way the world sees them, and invites the audience to share a beautiful glimpse into their lived experiences and create connection through shared emotions.
